USB host compatibility:

InputStick will work with any device that supports USB keyboard and/or mouse:

  • PC: Windows, Linux, MacOS
  • works in BIOS and in safe mode
  • game consoles, smart TVs, DVRs
  • Android, iOS (requires micro USB/lightning to USB adapter)
  • embedded systems (Raspberry Pi etc.)

InputStick is seen by USB host as a generic USB keyboard and mouse device. As a result no special drivers are required.

USB interfaces compatibility:

Keyboard interface: supported by all USB hosts.

Mouse interface: supported by all USB hosts.

Touchscreen interface: supported by Windows (7, 10), Mac OS, Linux (most distributions). Not guaranteed to work with other hardware.

Consumer control interface (multimedia buttons):  supported by Windows, MacOS, Linux. Note: not all available actions may be supported by particular OS or currently running software. Some actions may have different results depending on OS.

Gamepad interface: supported by Windows, Linux, MacOS, PS3 (limited support, works as a generic gamepad).

Bluetooth 4.0 vs Bluetooth 2.1

InputStick is available in two versions: with Bluetooth 4.0 and Bluetooth 2.1 radio. In 99% cases it is recommended to get BT4.0 one: it can be used with all modern Android and iOS devices. Get BT2.1 version only if you need to use it with older Android device (<4.3).

  • Android 4.3 or later
  • iOS (iPhone 4S and later)

Bluetooth 2.1 compatibility:

This section covers devices that can (or can't) be used as a source of keyboard/mouse actions.
Supported by:

  • Android 2.3 and later
  • PC (Linux, requires custom software)

InputStick BT2.1 is NOT supported by iOS devices
